The 2nd Annual July 4th Bike Ride
Preparations are underway for the new tradition, started last year, with the bike ride from Scarsdale, NY to Redding, CT. This year's event promises to draw more cyclists than last year's event and hopefully no one will get lost this time! Blog to follow of course...
Cape Cod Getaway - A ride for MS
I will once again be riding in the Cape Cod Getaway (formerly the Great Mass Getaway) to benefit the MS Society of New England. I have also chosen to increase the total ride distance from last year's 150 miles to 175 miles. Sponsor me in the ride and help fight MS!
Running my first marathon!
I will be running my first marathon on May 25th in the great city of Burlington, VT! The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon will prove challenging, not because of the hills but because of the great views of Lake Champlain all along the route. Follow my training and look for the event recap at the end of May - or when I get out of the hospital.
Inside-Out Sports Classic Half Marathon
With just three and a half weeks to get back into shape from my winter slumber, I will be making the trip back down to NC to run in another half marathon with Steve and Ann. The Inside-Out Sports Classic Half Marathon is on March 30, 2008 in Cary, NC. Why do I do this to myself?
The Rex Healthcare Half Marathon
I am not totally sure why, but I have lead myself to believe that I can run further than the triathlon distance of 3+ miles and have committed to a half marathon in Raleigh, NC on November 4th. Read more about the event or follow my training. Results to follow after the event.
'Til The Wheels Come Off
In an effort to be less of a slug and be better prepared for ski season, I've opted to exercise occasionally and participate in some events. They are cataloged here: Activity Log.
Web Site Redesign
This site is going through a major redesign, as I try to build a place to post things that don't fit in my existing action sports site, Rippery Films. My goal is to create a place that is interactive and entertaining. There will be increased functionality in areas like the Blog and possibly in the Photography area to allow visitors to respond to content.
Given limited time to dedicate to this project, some time will be spent developing ways to streamline future update processes. If you have a suggestion for this site, send it to me.
